Apron Sewing – Support Our Teachers at San Marcos Public Library

Help support Texas educators by sewing aprons for donation to Teacher Reuse during this free community sewing event on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the San Marcos Public Library. Participants ages 14 and up are welcome, but basic sewing skills are required for registration, as this is a collaborative sewing session rather than an instructional class. Sewing machines and materials will be provided, though participants may bring their own machines if preferred. Minors must be accompanied by a participating adult.
The finished aprons will be donated to Teacher Reuse, a nonprofit that provides free school supplies to teachers in public and charter schools across Texas. The organization received San Marcos’ 2024 Nonprofit of the Year award and has supplied educators with one million dollars’ worth of materials at no cost. The apron pattern is available at https://imgur.com/user/TeacherReuseApronPattern/posts. If the class is full, contact Elizabeth at teacher.reuse.aprons@gmail.com.
