Narcan Training at San Marcos Public Library

Learn how to recognize an opioid overdose and respond in an emergency at a free Narcan Training session on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from noon to 1 p.m. at the San Marcos Public Library. Participants will learn to identify the signs of an opioid overdose, demonstrate how to administer naloxone, a medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose, and discuss how harm reduction contributes to broader public health efforts.

The training is open to community members of all backgrounds, including parents and caregivers, educators, business owners, healthcare professionals, organizations, and others interested in learning how to respond to an overdose. Each participant will receive one free box of Narcan.
