The spring-fed waters remain 72 degrees year-round and are home to seven endangered and threatened species\, as well as one of the longest persistently inhabited sites in North America. \nThe standard 1.5-hour Kayak Tour is $35 per person\, with a $5 discount available for Texas State University students and military members. Life jackets\, paddles\, and kayaks are provided. Previous paddling experience is recommended. \nTours are open to paddlers ages 12 and older. Participants must be able to paddle their own boat and be comfortable around deep water. Participants should also be in good mental and physical condition for kayaking\, and a signed waiver is required.
