DESCRIPTION:Older adults can learn more about their health and access free screenings at the Health Fair for Seniors\, presented by the College of Health Professions at Texas State University. Designed for adults ages 60 and older\, the event offers informational booths\, health assessments\, and opportunities to connect with community resources and services. \nFree screenings will include gait and balance assessments\, cognitive screenings\, hearing tests\, vital signs checks\, diabetes screenings\, and spirometry and respiratory tests. The fair provides an opportunity to identify potential health concerns early and learn more about available support. \nThe free event takes place Friday\, October 30\, from 1 to 5 pm at San Marcos Public Library in San Marcos\, Texas. Registration is available online at https://forms.office.com/r/RAKEMdx1te\, and walk-ins are welcome.

SUMMARY:Brain and Body Fitness at San Marcos Public Library
DESCRIPTION:Build strength\, support mobility\, and stay active with Brain and Body Fitness\, a free\, science-based functional fitness class designed to accommodate different fitness levels. Each session is divided into five time-based segments\, with each segment focusing on a different purpose to support overall fitness and well-being. Most movements can be modified to suit individual abilities and comfort levels. \nFunded by the St. David’s Foundation\, the class is open to adults ages 18 and older.
