SUMMARY:Fall Native Plant Sale & Monarch Festival at San Marcos Discovery Center
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the fall migration season and learn more about monarch butterflies and other pollinators at the Fall Native Plant Sale & Monarch Festival. Local partners will share information about pollinators found throughout Central Texas and ways residents can support them at home and in the community. \nThe family-friendly event will feature a fall native plant sale\, monarch obstacle course\, lifecycle games\, photo opportunities\, and tagging activities. Demonstrations will also be offered if monarchs are flying through the area. Visitors can learn about the Texas Pollinator Bioblitz and explore ways to create their own butterfly gardens using native plants. \nThe festival takes place Saturday\, October 10\, from 9 am to 2 pm. Admission is free\, while plants will be available for purchase at cost. The plant availability list and pricing will be posted online during the week of the event. \nThe Fall Native Plant Sale & Monarch Festival takes place at the San Marcos Discovery Center\, 430 Riverside Drive\, San Marcos\, TX 78666.
